What is this course about?
The course has been developed to provide learners with a taste of various career options including catering & hospitality, childcare, health and social care  and business and IT  The course mainly consists of practical work but also includes some theory based work .The qualification you will study in the entry level qualification in occupational  studies for the workplace

What will I learn on this course?
You have the opportunity to sample different career pathways and as you progress you may specialise in one  area such as childcare, health and social care, catering and hospitality or business and IT As part of your studies it is expected that you will undertake some work experience in the community and this will add to your experience of work situations.

The College has a full enrichment programme and all learners are expected to make the most of their time with us, why not enjoy your free time with your tutor group. New enrichment activities include; sport tournaments, table tennis, nail bar, introduction to  hairdressing and makeup  techniques  .

How will I be assessed?
You will be assessed through various methods including practical assessments, observations, and question booklets.

Are there any costs associated with this course?
You will be required to purchase stationary equipment and a file. You may need to purchase specialist equipment e.g  a uniform depending on which area you wish to specialise in ( e.g. catering will require a uniform )

Aged 19+
Please inquire about the cost of this course starting in 2017. If you are in receipt of certain benefits or are starting your first full level 2 or 3 course (conditions apply) your fees may be free.
